Hello - Welcome to my page!

For those who don't know me, my name is Sandra, and I am the very proud owner of Super Dogs Wash & Groom.

I live in Hutton, with my husband Bill, my two daughters and my two gorgeous dogs, Teddy (the picture below is him when he was a puppy) and Trixie (she's the doggy in the photo with me). I also have two grand-bunnies - Bella and Cecelia

Teddy's nickname has always been Super Dog- hence the name for my business! You will see Teddy and Trixie crop up on my Facebook posts from time to time, they are my brand ambassadors, and triallists of all my products and services (and often Trixie dons whatever accessories are required to launch all my new salon themes!)

I came to dog grooming later in life - I worked in the NHS in an administrative role for many years, and I worked in more COVID vaccination clinics than I care to remember! It was fantastic to be a part of that team, but ultimately I decided it was time to embrace a new challenge and learn something new. I love my dogs so much, and I was always blown away by how happy it made me to see Teddy looking so handsome after his grooms, I really wanted to give it a try and be able to produce some lovely grooms myself, to bring the same happiness to other doggy owners.

Training was a rollercoaster ride - especially alongside working full time - and at times I thought I wouldn't ever get there ! But I'm so happy I persevered. I love my little business, and all my furry customers so much - I can't wait to pamper your doggies soon!

QUALIFICATIONS

I am City and Guilds qualiied, having trained at Canine Health and Hydro in Clitheroe. I also have a certificate in Canine First Aid.

A Special Level of Care

My aim is to pamper your dogs and achieve a beautiful groom, whilst still treating them with kindness and compassion. I go at your dog's pace and basically, if your dog is happy, I am happy! I only ever work one to one, and your dog will be the only one in the salon for their groom. I think this makes a world of difference to the dog's wellbeing, and it makes for a calmer atmosphere in the salon. Your dog is the centre of attention for the duration of their groom - if they need it they can have a break, if they are allowed them, they can have treats, there are toys to play with in the salon (which are cleaned after every use), they receive a free bow or bandana, and a spritz of ethically sourced, vegan, cruelty free pawfume after their groom. At various times in the year I have a theme in the salon - and (if they are happy to pose of course!) your dog will be photographed against the themed backdrop with appropriate accessories - below are some photos from my current Easter theme, and my Christmas theme.

Your dog can look forward to a warm bath using only the finest products chosen specifically to enhance their coat type

PAMPERING

Besides the usual grooming services, I also offer some pampering upgrades to enhance your dog's treatment such as the mineral mud treatment to moisturise dry skin, a specialised mud treatment to aid deshedding for shorthaired breeds and I have recently started to offer a paw pamper - message or call me for details

As you would expect, I offer a comprehensive grooming service, tailored to your dog's needs. I will consult with you regarding your dog's finished groom, and ensure that I strive to achieve the best result for your dog
